How can repairing glass by using Glas-weld system impact our environment?
By decreasing the amount of glass that goes into landfills and reducing the energy intensive activity that goes into glass manufacturing.

Recycling glass will reduce the large pile of mine wastes used to produce raw materials that goes into glass manufacturing by 70%. The amount of water used decrease by 50% and the total air pollutants by 20%.

By recycling glass we will help by slowing down the up comings of greenhouse gases, reduce the amount acid rain cause by air pollutants etc.

Glass manufacturing is a high energy intensive activity. It takes 15.2 million BTU’s of energy to produce one ton of glass. The manufacturing of one ton of glass can generate as much as 385 pounds of mining waste and 28 pounds of air pollutants. Like the production of other materials, glass manufacturing and usage has negative impact on the environment.
Why do we bring awareness to the subject?
The more that we all participate in reducing the use of raw materials and the energy needed to produce glass, the better off our environment will be.
Continue to fix chips and nicks on your window and you will help keeping our environment clean.
The GBF of Sweden is actively working to enhance recycling of glass.
